We offer a nursery for ages 6 months-4 years, children’s church for children 5 years old-3rd grade, and monthly breakfast clubs for children in 4th and 5th grade. When you arrive at West Charlotte Church, you will find a member of our hospitality team who will help you find our Kid’s Ministry check in, and answer any questions you may have.
Every Sunday, we offer a safe and welcoming nursery for children ages 6 months-5 years old. We have at least two adult leaders in the nursery every week to care for and play with the children. The children will enjoy games, music, toys, and snacks each week. To ensure that each child is well cared for, the nursery leaders will have each child’s parent’s contact information, so that if any needs or questions arise while parents are in worship, they will be contacted.
Every Sunday throughout the school year, we offer a Children’s Church worship opportunity, where Children ages 5 through 3rd grade will learn age appropriate Bible lessons, including related crafts, activities, and visual illustrations. Each children’s church class has two adult leaders to care for and teach your children in a safe and welcoming environment.
At West Charlotte Church, we love to include children in our worship service as often as possible, because they are a vibrant part of our church. Each week, when a family with children comes through our main entrance, they are greeted by a member of our Welcome Team, and guided to our Kid’s Min check in, where a Kid’s Min leader will help them to sign in, and answer any questions they may have. After getting checked in, children of all ages will stay with their family until Kid’s Min dismissal, which occurs right before the sermon. At this point, parents with children ages 6 months - 5 years old may walk their children to the nursery, and children 6 years old to 3rd grade may follow their teachers to children’s church.
At West Charlotte Church, safety is our top priority. All Kid’s Min leaders have filled out our Kid’s Min application, given references, interviewed with our Kid’s Min Coordinator, submitted to a background check, and taken part in safety training.

We offer a nursing mothers room for mothers with infants, conveniently located right next to our sanctuary. This private room is furnished with comfortable furniture for nursing, a changing table, and sound machine to block out noise as desired.
Once a quarter, we celebrate all the children in our church by having a shorter, high energy worship service designed for both children and adults. During these worship services, which last one hour, we provide maracas and tambourines for the kids to use during the music, and scarves for them to hold and wave around. We incorporate body movement into our worship songs, and lots of visual illustrations and stories into our sermons. These family worship services occur the 5th Sunday of each month.
