Worship
Our worship is a celebratory blend of both timeless African American traditions and Christian contemporary music. We sing hymns, gospel, and modern worship, led by our praise team and band.

Our worship is a celebratory blend of both timeless African American traditions and Christian contemporary music. We sing hymns, gospel, and modern worship, led by our praise team and band.

Our sermons consider the culture, context, and main point of each biblical passage, with emphasis on the gospel of Jesus Christ, providing application to show how God’s truth brings comfort and challenge to every aspect of our lives.

We offer a nursery for children ages 6 months to 4 years and Children’s Church for children ages 5 through 3rd grade. Both nursery and children’s church dismiss to their classrooms prior to the sermon. A nursing mothers’ room is also available in the foyer.

We believe worship is for God’s people, not just those leading the service. Our worship includes singing, reading and preaching the Bible, the Lord’s Supper, baptisms, and offerings. We explain each part of the service as we go, making it easy to participate, regardless of your background.
West Charlotte Church is a gospel-centered, cross-cultural church in and for West Charlotte. We exist to love God, love our neighbors, and make disciples of Jesus Christ. We rejoice together in God’s faithfulness to us. We lament the brokenness of this world. We are committed to living together as a healthy spiritual family as we seek to love the Lord and love others.
You’ll find a range of dress at West Charlotte Church. Some people dress up, and some come more casual. Come in what is comfortable for you.
We provide a safe and fun environment for our children to play, learn, and grow in their faith. We do this by providing a nursery for younger children throughout the year, children’s church for younger elementary students during the school year, occasional breakfast Bible studies for older elementary students, and regular student ministry meetings with both large group activities and small group Bible studies for middle and high school students.
Additionally, we love to welcome our children into the larger body of our spiritual family. We do this by having all children join us for worship songs at the beginning of the service prior to the sermon and also by having family worship services where all our children get to join us for the entire worship service on the 5th Sunday of the month.
A great first step is to join us on a Sunday, fill out a connect form, or talk with someone at church. We would love to help you find ways to build relationships, serve, and get connected.
We’d love to hear from you with any questions you might have. We want you to feel welcomed, informed, and cared for.
You can stay connected during the week through our sermons, which are published online each week.
